Why Casula Physiotherapy?
Working full-time, I know how hard it can be to squeeze in that appointment during standard 9-to-5 work hours. Some of us just can’t afford to take the time off work or get away from our busy schedules.
That is why I established Casula Physiotherapy as an after hours clinic, to help accommodate patients who need to find the time to look after themselves.
I am qualified as a physiotherapist, exercise physiologist, and remedial massage therapist. I’ve also taken additional courses in Dry Needling, which is reminiscent of acupuncture, and Manipulative Therapy to help aid in your treatment.
- Master of Physiotherapy (University of Sydney)
- Master of Clinical Exercise Physiology (Charles Sturt University)
- Bachelor of Applied Science (Sports & Exercise Science) (WSU)
- Diploma of Remedial Massage Therapy
- Certificate IV in Massage Therapy
- Certificate in Myofascial Dry Needling
All up, I have been practising just over 8 years in various settings including the physiotherapy & exercise physiology clinics, medical centres, and hospital settings.
I previously taught at the School of Science & Health – Western Sydney University. There I taught Clinical Exercise Physiology to final-year students with a focus on clinical skills and pathophysiology of common chronic conditions.
As an ongoing commitment to the universities that I once attended, I frequently provide clinical supervision for sports & exercise science students undertaking their clinical placements. This role encourages me to be up to date with current research and best practice to ensure I know how to best answer students’ questions!
I am also currently contributing to a research study studying the effects of high-intensity interval training and its effect in type-2 diabetic patients. This is being held at the University of Sydney and has been ongoing for the past 2 years.
